Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor and a TV presenter. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef featuring her distinctive spiky blond locks and pumped up appearance, offers basic techniques anyone can be able to master. Chef Burrell also has worked in several of the city's most prestigious establishments, studied Italian food along with its traditional recipes, and participated in Food Network Iron Chef America. While growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell was able to discover a love of culinary arts and food at an early age. After obtaining an English and Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she became interested in the industry of restaurants by enrolling into The Culinary Institute of America. I loved every minute as a student The Culinary Institute of America she says. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions during her stay in Italy, which has influenced her culinary style. Burrell is a well-known ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor, she travels all over America to speak about her love for cooking and career. Through the course of her cooking career, Anne has said, "I feel very fortunate to share my passion to others.
