Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was born in New York City to actors Melissa D. Canaday and Edward James Hyland. She began her career in the field at 4 by doing voice overs and commercial work. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. The Object of My Affection was her next film. Sarah was a part of in Another World (1964), as Rain Wolfe, a child who was found in the park and was fostered by Josie. Sarah was able to be a part of the team with Amy Carlson ("Josie" on AW) several more times, including Falcone (2000), Law & Order (1990) and Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was chosen to play "Audrey Hepburn" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2001). The same year, she was also chosen to play "Molly” in ABC’s The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999). Starring Kathy Bates, Audra Mcdonald, Victor Garber, Kristin Chenoweth, and Joe Gould's Secret (2000) as well as Falcone (2000). Sarah has studied jazz, voice hip hop, tap, Theatre Dance and voice. She also performed with her class in tap and Theatre at "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers. Sarah was born in New York and raised in New York. Sarah was home-schooled by her mom until 2nd grade, and then went to Public School. She was admitted to PPAS in 6th grade. This is the school that she stayed until her graduation in 2008. Sarah is now 18, moved to Los Angeles, CA, where she got an aircraft pilot named "My American Family". Once she was accepted and the pilot's name changed into Modern Family (2009). Sarah is currently playing Haley Dunphy, the oldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) won many awards, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
